1.49 Update

Hello, Storm Strikers!This is GM Maximus.

We would like to inform you about the 1.49 Update (2025.08.28).



Before the Developer’s Comment

We have carefully taken into account the streams from our streamers, the 1:1 ticket history,and the valuable opinions from our Storm Strikers in the community.

For this update, our goal is to expand the volume a little more,to give you inspiration to try out new challenges,and to let you feel the joy of research.


Developer’s Comment

As we mentioned in the direction of the previous update,

we focused on preserving each character’s individuality and fun, while strengthening the rhythm of combat flow and the balance between risk and return.


  • Maintaining strengths, adding openings

    • We enhanced the core identity of each hero, while also adjusting risks so that opponents can have opportunities to break through.

  • Improvement of control and connectivity

    • We refined the control feel and skill rhythm of certain heroes, and strengthened each character’s core skills and play.

  • Enhancement of individual combat ability

    • Since we judged that focusing on individual battles could be somewhat difficult in a team battle environment,

    • we have made some improvements to supplement individual combat ability.



Character Balance


Maximus

  • Verdict! damage 300 → 330


Comment

When Maximus successfully suppresses an enemy,we have adjusted him so that he can finish the kill on his own,allowing him to become a more threatening presence even in individual combat.


Shifu

  • Thunder Stamp cooldown 9s → 8s

  • Thunder Stamp movement distance 3m → 4m

  • Thunder Stamp after-cast delay decreased

  • Dragon Kick cooldown 7s → 8s

  • Dragon Kick attack range increased by 40%

  • Dragon Kick after-cast delay decreased

  • Dragon Kick jump height decreased


Comment

We have made some improvements to Shifu’s control feel,and by reducing the after-cast delay,we aimed for this skill to serve more effectively in combo connectionsrather than being used only as a single move.


Eveleen

  • Time Dilation movement speed increased 25% → 40%

  • Tachyon Field shield amount 180 → 210


Comment

We aim to establish Eveleen as a hero who, based on explosive movement speed,can rapidly break through to the target point and push the frontline forward.

Additionally, we have slightly reduced the damage she takes during the breakthrough process,so that even when Eveleen accepts some degree of risk,she can still reach the target point and fulfill her role of dealing area damage.


Volf

  • [Charge] Flame On! damage 105 → 110


Comment

We expected Volf to pressure enemies with his Charge attack,pushing the frontline and forcing opponents to use their skills.

However, we judged that the current damage of the Charge attack was insufficient to fulfill that role in battle.

Therefore, through this adjustment,we aim to make Volf’s Charge attack more threatening,so that he can properly carry out his intended role on the battlefield.


Bernhardt

  • Death Pursuit damage increased 150 → 155

  • Death Pursuit movement distance increased 525 → 575

  • Rampaging Fury attack range (X-axis) 75 → 125

  • Rampaging Fury movement distance increased 180 → 360


Comment

Bernhardt is now ready to swallow the battlefield whole.Go on a rampage to your heart’s content.


Akira

  • Decimation damage 75 → 70

  • Dimensional Slash damage 75 → 70


Comment

Compared to other melee heroes, Akira has a clear advantage in seizing opportunitiesand performing them safely.

Based on this, Akira can easily create favorable situations,and we judged that such situations were occurring too frequently,causing considerable fatigue in the flow of battle.

Therefore, while maintaining Akira’s instantaneous burst power,we have reduced the frequency with which he can seize opportunities,in order to alleviate his excessive influence.


Alice

  • Wind Slash first attack movement distance 3m → 4m


    Comment

By increasing the movement distance of the first attack of Alice’s Wind Slash,we aimed to relieve some of the frustration that players felt previouslyand allow for a smoother, more comfortable play experience.


Al-Manat

  • Sand Slash camera lock duration decreased

  • Arid Blade effect changed: from Slow → to Grab

  • Arid Blade cooldown 1.5s → 6s

  • Arid Blade damage 75 → 50

  • Arid Blade after-cast delay increased

  • Path to the Underworld duration 7s → 8s

Despite continuous adjustment patches,we judged that the high difficulty of landing Al-Manat’s core skillsmade it difficult to fully enjoy the inherent fun of the hero.

Accordingly, through Arid Blade we have clearly reduced the burdenboth on the judgment required to use core skills and on their actual accuracy,and instead adjusted him to focus more on the infiltration processand on seizing infiltration opportunities.

We hope that the assassination playstyle of Al-Manat,which until now could only be experienced by a few skilled players,can now be enjoyed by many more of you.


Rei

  • [Charge] Arctic Spike damage 315 → 320

  • Arctic Spike cooldown reduced 4s → 1s

  • Glacial Explosion cooldown reduced 4s → 1s

  • Glacial Explosion normal attack changed: Area attack → Single attack

  • Glacial Explosion projectile speed increased on normal attack

  • Glacial Explosion charge function added

  • [Charge] Glacial Explosion damage 200

  • Biting Hailstorm cooldown increased 7s → 9s


Comment

When Rei secures a position,his identity as a ranged damage dealer with consistent single-target snipingand area bombardment is maintained,but we focused on ensuring that the enemy has opportunities to break through,introducing risks and openings depending on the situation.

By removing the instant explosion effect of Glacial Explosion,if an enemy succeeds in closing the distance,Rei—when not choosing defensive skills—will find it harder to respond,as he must rely on accuracy.

We also limited the long-term area control of Biting Hailstorm,and by introducing charge times for Arctic Spike and Glacial Explosion,we intended to add openings in Rei’s gameplay.


Teo

  • Reload speed decreased by 20%


Comment

We judged that Teo’s mobility through Tactical Maneuver was already sufficient.

However, we also thought that the gap created during the reloading process was excessively large,making him highly vulnerable to melee dealer-type heroes who can exploit such openings with their dash skills.

Accordingly, while still leaving room for melee dealers to break through with charge abilities,we adjusted Teo so that he also has time to respond to those who have penetrated his defenses,thereby maintaining balance between the two sides.

In addition, this adjustment is not only aimed at increasing stability,but we also hope it will allow Teo to secure competitiveness in terms of cumulative damage output,so that he can stand on equal footing with other ranged dealer heroes.


Lightning

Overall aspects of the hero Lightning have been improved.

Since the overall values have been changed,please be sure to check the detailed specifications in-game.


  • Passive Skill Changes

    • [Agility] Base movement speed increased by +150

    • [Sword Dance] Lightning can gracefully connect various skills,allowing some skills to be linked more quickly than others.

      Example: During the casting of Radiant Dance,Spiral Stinger can be connected faster than other skills,enabling Lightning to escape from the battlefield.

    • RMB – Sword Engage / Lightning Drive / Northern Light

    • E – Spiral Stinger / Lightning Drive / Northern Light / Shooting Star

  • Skill Effect Changes

    • Radiant Dance: casting delay → grants invincibility immediately upon casting

    • Radiant Dance: invincibility duration decreased 0.8s → 0.65s

    • Lightning Accel: maximum uses decreased 3 → 2

    • Lightning Accel: added [Dash] function in the direction of movement keys

    • Shooting Star: [Airborne] effect removed


  • Skill Delay Reduction

    • The casting speed of certain skills has been increased,and their after-cast delay has been reduced.

Comment

We judged that, in the previous state, Lightning’s skills and basic attacks were not clearly distinguished in terms of usage timing,making it difficult to focus on a single playstyle during combat.

Accordingly, we separated the combat rhythm into [basic attack play] that utilizes Illusion Slash and Lightning Accel,and [skill-focused play] based on other skills,so that Lightning can concentrate on a playstyle that highlights his strengths within a clearer tempo.

For the [basic attack play] using Illusion Slash and Lightning Accel,we reduced the cooldown of Lightning Accel and increased its shield amount,granting greater strength to sustained combat centered around basic attacks.

Based on the reduced skill delays and the [Sword Dance] passive,we intended for various skills to be combined and linked,so that after skill-focused play, the style can naturally flow into [basic attack play].

However, we judged that the explosive damage resulting from compressed speedhas significant variability in how it is felt during actual combat situations.Therefore, in this update, we have adjusted some of the damage.

For now, our focus is on completing the individuality and fun of the hero,and we will proceed with additional follow-up adjustments afterward.


Narae

  • Soul Force damage per second 100 → 60

  • Soul Force healing per second 100 → 20

  • Soul Force now assigned to RMB slot

  • Blessing of Grace shield amount increased 240 → 280

Comment

We wanted Narae to give more of an impression of being a teammatewho participates in battle while breathing together with allies than before.

This change has somewhat of an experimental nature,so the control feel may be awkward, or the efficiency may be excessive or insufficient.

However, ultimately, we want to take this as an adventure and challenge,so that in the future, with the addition of swap skills,Narae can firmly take her place as a hero who creates battles together with her team.


Chloe

  • Tag! Freeze! now assigned to R slot


Comment

As overall kill opportunities have increased,we wanted to provide Chloe with room to adopt a survival skill.



Other Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • The Hero Introduction section will be changed from Story → Character Traits.

  • Some skill descriptions have been improved.

  • Hero passive skill descriptions have been moved into the basic skill description section.

  • Fixed an issue where Warmonger – Flex Harder! did not apply movement speed reduction when used.

  • Fixed an issue where Lightning’s Limit Break did not apply the [Unstoppable] effect upon activation.

  • Adjusted the effect of Lightning’s Northern Light to match its attack range.

  • Adjusted the effect of Lightning’s Shooting Star to match its attack range.

  • Improved Al-Manat – Hashashin so that additional attacks are triggered even when hitting a tanker’s [Barrier].

  • Added the missing [Airborne] description to Electra’s Encroaching Thorns.



System

  • A function to display the list of Custom Game Rooms has been added.

  • When using Swap, the actual swap will now take place after 5 seconds.
