25.02.27 Patch Notes: Update 1.43

Hello, Storm Striker Players!

We are excited to introduce the 1.43 Update (25.02.27).

This update includes balance adjustments and minor client updates.


Overall Balance Adjustment Direction
  • The main focus of this balance update is to alleviate the frustration and unfairness melee dealers have been experiencing due to excessive crowd control (CC) effects. Moving forward, powerful CC abilities like stuns will be exclusive to tanks.

  • Melee dealers will now have ample time to shine if they make smart decisions regarding the use of tank abilities. However, as CC frequency has been significantly reduced, some melee dealers will have their sustain adjusted accordingly.

  • Previously, the optimal strategy was to disable melee dealers with CC before eliminating them. Now, the approach will shift towards focusing them down using the increased DPS of ranged dealers.

  • However, boosting ranged DPS could create a sense of unfairness for certain melee characters. To counterbalance this, some melee dealers will receive increased skill damage, allowing them to assassinate targets more easily.


Shifu

Intent

  • Shifu has struggled to match the sustain and crowd control capabilities of other heroes in the same class.

  • This update increases his self-healing and improves skill usability, allowing him to fulfill his role as a tank more effectively.

  • 980 → 960

Thunder Stamp

  • Damage: 220 → 160

  • Cooldown: 7s → 9s

  • Dash Distance: 525 → 300

  • Stun Radius: 300 → 400

Thunder Dragon Slash

  • Damage: 110 → 200

  • Cooldown: 7s → 4s

  • Cooldown Reduction on Hit: 3s → 0s

  • Healing on Hit: 70 → 80

  • Dash Distance: 625 → 750

  • Adjusted hitbox timing and duration

  • Removed root effect

Dragon Stamp

  • Damage: 40 → 160

  • Healing: 35 per second → 100 per second (total 200)

Dragon Kick

  • Damage: 110/110 → 120/120

  • Cooldown: 7s → 9s

Cloud Step

  • Cooldown: 2s → 4s

  • Healing: 40 → 120

  • Dash Distance: 725 → 850

Extreme Dragon Fist

  • Damage: 11 × 10 / 330 → 36 × 10 / 360

  • Healing: 330 → 720



Maximus

Intent

  • Maximus is the most powerful crowd control hero in the game.

  • His crowd control abilities have been slightly restricted, but his damage output has been increased.

  • Damage: 22 × 10 → 20 × 10

  • Cooldown: 7s → 9s

Ironblood Retribution

  • Damage: 110 → 120

  • Reduced some of his crowd control effectiveness, while increasing his damage output.

  • Damage: 40/110 → 40/80

Bernhardt

Intent

  • With the overall decrease in CC frequency, Bernhardt’s sustainability has been reduced.

  • However, his offensive capabilities have been enhanced through damage buffs and cooldown adjustments.

Health

  • 820 → 800

Inferno Strike

  • Cooldown: 7s → 4s

Savage Dash

  • Cooldown: 9s → 7s

Bloodthirst

  • Lifesteal: 50% → 40%

Eternal Hellblade

  • Damage: 160 → 240

  • Lifesteal: 50% → 40%



Akira

Intent

  • With the overall reduction in CC frequency, Akira’s sustainability has been slightly decreased.

  • However, his primary skills have been buffed to enhance his offensive capabilities.

  • 820 → 800

  • Health Recovery on Skill Hit: 50 → 40

Flashbang

  • Cooldown: 6s → 7s

Dimensional Slash

  • Cooldown: 2.4s → 2s

Intent

  • Electra's XYZ-axis free movement ability was being used too frequently, so a slight restriction has been applied.

Enchanting Grace

  • Cooldown: 1.75s → 3s

  • Adjusted physics mechanics, reducing maximum Z-axis movement distance.

    • Maximum ZY-axis movement distance: 20m



Narae

Intent

  • Narae possesses exceptional survivability, which prolongs team fights when she remains in combat.

  • To address this issue, her sustainability has been slightly reduced.

Divine Light

  • Healing: 140 → 180

Divine Wave

  • Cooldown: 7s → 8s

Blessing of Grace

  • Shield Amount: 210 → 240

  • Cooldown: 7s → 8s

Wings of Ascension

  • Healing: 140 → 120

  • Cooldown: 12s → 14s

Grace of Hwanwoong

  • Healing: 1400 → 1600



Chloe

Intent

  • Chloe's stun effects were too strong, acting as an overwhelming suppression tool.

  • To balance this, her crowd control effectiveness has been reduced, while her DPS has been increased.

  • Duration when target is obstructed by a wall: 3s → 5s

  • Added HUD indicator for the attached target when the skill is used.

Tag! Freeze!

  • Cooldown: 15s → 14s

  • Healing: 140 → 120

  • Cooldown: 10s → 8s

Boing Boing, Horo Ball!

  • Damage: 110 → 120

  • Self-Healing: 40 → 80

  • Cooldown: 9s → 8s

  • Cooldown: 9s → 8s

Balloon Horo!

  • Damage: 220 → 240

  • Cooldown: 12s → 8s

  • Stun effect removed

  • Increased airborne knockback distance



Sabio

Intent

  • Previously, Sabio was able to accumulate significant damage independently, despite being a healer.

  • The Automata attached to Sabio himself was identified as the main issue, so it has been removed.

  • Moving forward, Sabio must attach Automata to allies, and damage will only accumulate effectively when enemies near the attached ally are attacked.

  • To effectively harass enemies, players must now prioritize ally positioning and distribute Automata accordingly.

Passive

  • Removed the Automata that was previously attached to Sabio

Golden Spear of Kukulkan

  • Damage: 45 → 20

Guardian Automata of Kukulkan

  • Duration changed from 7 seconds to unlimited

  • Disappears if it moves too far from Sabio or gets obstructed by terrain

  • Can only be attached to one ally at a time

  • Shield effect removed

  • Automata Damage: 10 → 40

  • Automata Base Healing: 20 per second (unchanged)

  • Automata Bonus Healing: 20 → 80

  • Automata position adjusted

  • Now displays a HUD indicator on the attached target

Rescue Grenade

  • Automata now attacks enemies

  • Self-Healing Over Time: 32 per second → 60 per second

  • Instant Self-Healing: 40 → 80

Reaction Grenade

  • Automata now attacks enemies

  • Explosion Damage: 110 → 40

Let's Breakdance!

  • Removed Nitro Gliding charge function

  • Now grants self-healing of 125 per second for 2 seconds

  • Now reduces damage taken by 70%

  • Removed movement speed reduction effect

Nitro Gliding

  • Removed enhanced basic attack

  • Removed double-shot feature

  • Increased movement distance: 410 → 480

Super Sabio Time!

  • Now functions independently from Guardian Automata

  • Duration: 7s → 10s

Other

  • Ultimate gauge reduced by 24%



Respawn Time
  • Increased from 8s → 10s


Reduced Enemy Silhouette Visibility Behind Walls
  • Duration reduced from 7s → 3s



First Archive Object Capture Speed Adjustment
  • Capture rate changed from 0.65 per second → 0.5 per second



Cash Charging
  • SC can now be recharged using cash.



Skill Window (H) Now Usable for Viewing in Stages
  • The skill window (default key: H) can now be accessed inside the stage, not just in the respawn area.

  • However, skill swapping will not be possible in this mode.

  • This change was implemented in response to player requests for checking skill information during gameplay.



Shader Adjustments
  • In-game shaders have been adjusted, making skin reflections appear more natural and subdued.
